The Final Mile Against HIV
From Detection to Cure
Learn More
The fight against HIV has made remarkable progress, yet critical gaps remain. Many infections still go undiagnosed, and the virus can persist silently in the body even during treatment.
Finding HIV early and understanding how it behaves over time remains one of the hardest challenges in HIV care.
At Supbio, we believe better measurement leads to better decisions. Built on SUPBIO Microscale-Precision Technologies, our platform enables ultra sensitive molecular detection and accurate quantification of viral DNA. These insights help clinicians identify infections earlier and help researchers better understand the virus.
Every precise measurement moves us one step closer to better treatment, better prevention, and ultimately a cure.
Supbio’s Chief Scientist, Professor Tuofu Zhu, contributed to pioneering research on the early origins of HIV. In a landmark Nature study published in 1998, HIV genetic material was detected in a preserved blood sample collected in 1959. The discovery pushed back the documented history of the HIV epidemic by more than sixty years.
This work deepened scientific understanding of HIV and helped shape the foundation for Supbio’s continued development of Microscale-Precision Technologies, designed to detect extremely low levels of viral genetic material with high sensitivity and accuracy.
For Supbio, technology is not only about detection. It is about enabling new insights that guide the next generation of HIV research and care.
