Building the Technology Foundation

(2010-2023)

2010
Supbio was founded in the Guangzhou Development Zone and recognized as a Leading Technology Talent Enterprise.
2013
Obtained a Medical Device Manufacturing License and established an ISO 13485 compliant quality management system, laying the foundation for industrial development.
2016
Completed Series A financing. Received regulatory approval for its first Class III diagnostic product, an HBV assay kit. The company was also awarded a major applied research grant from Guangdong Province and recognized as a National High Tech Enterprise.
2017-2018
Completed Series B and B+ financing rounds. Received regulatory approval for a Class III tuberculosis diagnostic assay. The wholly owned subsidiary Hscience commenced operations. Supbio also participated in the National Major Science and Technology Project under the 13th Five Year Plan.
2020-2021
Supbio’s HIV-1 DNA detection assay received the Second Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. The company successfully completed the National Major Science and Technology Project under the 13th Five Year Plan, and its core technologies were showcased at the National Science and Technology Innovation Achievements Exhibition.
2022
Participated in the National Key R&D Program under the 14th Five Year Plan, further strengthening Supbio’s research capabilities.
2023
Recognized as a National Specialized and Sophisticated “Little Giant”. Completed certification of three major ISO management systems and was selected for multiple high growth enterprise rankings in the Greater Bay Area.

During this stage, Supbio focused on building its core technology foundation rather than pursuing rapid commercialization. The company concentrated its efforts on advancing ultra sensitive precision PCR technologies while actively participating in national research programs on major infectious diseases. These efforts transformed Supbio from an early stage research company into a nationally recognized specialized and innovative enterprise.

Phase II

Commercial Growth and Platform Expansion

(2024-Present)

2024
Completed Series C financing. Received regulatory approval for the world’s first HIV-1 DNA viral load assay (Class III), marking a major technological milestone. Supbio was also recognized as a Guangzhou Postdoctoral Research Center and established a joint laboratory with Jinan University.
2025-2026
Completed follow-on Series C financing. Formed strategic partnerships with leading international companies and began expanding into global markets. Industry leader Fatt Heng Wong was appointed CEO to lead Supbio’s transition into a global precision molecular diagnostics platform.

Building on more than a decade of technology development and national research collaboration, Supbio has entered a new stage of growth focused on commercialization of its core technologies and expansion of its platform ecosystem.
